Saturday, July 05, 2008 - Gulfstream trip to the Steeples (Weaver)
Dr. Steve Weaver, his son and friends enjoyed a gulfstream fishing trip to the Steeples area off Bald Head Island. Dr. Weaver (left) and John Porter (middle) holding a 30 lb. wahoo caught on the Steeples. Water temps were 79.7 degrees and this fish hit a ballyhoo with a miniture white & blue islander.
The group also caught 3 king mackerel, all over 20 lbs. each, 6 mahi, 1 blackfin tuna and 2 barracuda.
