 Chattanoogan, Paul Harmon, chartered my boat with a friend who is getting married on Bald Head Island this weekend.
The picture shows one of 7 black tip sharks caught 3 miles off Frying Pans Shoals and Bald Head Island. The fish ranged in weight from 30 - 110 lbs. Pictured on the left is Paul Harmon and me, Capt. Paul Thompson.
The group of groomsmen had a great experience fighting these strong black tip sharks and say they want to fish again the morning of the wedding. The black tip shark is a great fighting fish that often will go airborne and give the fisherman an idea of what a small bluefin tuna would feel like on one of my winter tuna charters.
